Dr. Michael Bass is originally from Edenton, NC. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Utah. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. Dr. Bass enjoys water sports, snow skiing, working on home projects with his wife Sherrie and spending time with their 3 children, Lydia, Eliza, and William.

Dr. Bass consistently exceeds the recommended annual requirement for continuing education and attends courses regularly at institutions such as the Dawson Center, the Pankey Institute, Academy of R.V. Tucker Study Clubs, and the Seattle Institute of Advanced Education. He received the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007. Dr. Bass is also active in the Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, Wake County Dental Society, and volunteers his services at Wake Smiles.
